Juan Chavez, president of the Cape Fear Chapter, MOAA, presented Don Talbot, chairman of the Freedom Memorial Park steering committee and the GWOT fundraising committee, with a check for $2,500.00 to kick off fund raising efforts of the project with more to come.
At the Memorial Day Ceremony Juan Chavez, president of the Cape Fear Chapter, MOAA, presented Don Talbot, chairman of the Freedom Memorial Park steering committee and the GWOT fundraising committee, with a check for $19,300.00 with a promise to meet a goal of $25,000.00.
